After they inspected it, they found that the stock had split all around the thumb hole. I've never dropped the gun in its entire life but does have a small scratch on the forehand on the opposite side of the split. I am dumbfounded and mad as to why the stock has split apart.

I had a gunsmith install a muzzle break on the rifle when I first bought it so I don't know if possibly they could of broken the stock but who knows. Anyways I can't sell it until I either repair it or buy a new stock for the gun.

Now I'm thinking on keeping it and want to put a nice composite stock on it but can't find anybody who makes stocks for a Browning X-bolt. Any ideas on where to look?

Many companies make stocks for the A-bolt but the X-bolt seems to be a lost cause. Boyd's has a decent selection of laminated stocks for the X-bolt short action. We've put Boyds stocks on several of our rifles.

They fit well and improve the gun for sure. Be sure and look at the options page as they do some cool stuff.

The adjustable comb might be useful. Your right I found another forum post where someone advertised his work, I also called manners and McMillan today.

Manners told me no but McMillian does offer one stock that will work but plan on adding more styles in Browning is going to start using McMillan stocks on many of their rifles. Which I thought that was pretty cool. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk.
