I needed office furniture quickly and after looking at so many online I choose this and 4 other pieces. They are labor intense and the wood will split even with the slightest of hands.

I'm a 50 yr old female who has put together many pieces of furniture in my life so I know not to be heavy handed. The cabinet with the tall door has a foe back not a solid back like the draw side, I was extremely disappointed in this feature as it is what people see when they look into my office. The instructions do not tell you to put this piece on last otherwise it won't line up with the top once installed, not to mention mine came damaged.

The instructions are the worst I've ever seen in all my years of putting things together. Not happy with this purchase at all. Arrived in 2 boxes that I needed help to get up my apartment stairs since they're about 90 lbs each. Once there, the fun began I also see why a lot of reviews said it took even 2 people hours to set-up.

There are a lot of steps and a lot of gluing of wooden pegs. I'll be honest, I took one look at the glue they sent and I decided to use my own wood glue, which required more time to dry and set properly. It took me 1. Except for a few small nicks on the top, the desk looks fantastic in the space I have it in so the shipping boxes did their job.

Once I got moving after setting the pegs on one side and allowed the glue to dry overnight, things moved smoothly and I had the desk completely assembled before the end of the second day.

The directions were very simple and the diagrams were small, so it took some time to decipher which part went where in each step. It would have been helpful, with something this big, to get a full size 8. Also, the PC Compartment definitely works for a lot of PC's; however, if you've built your own PC Tower like I have, make sure it fits. Mine only has 2" of space on one side so I am working to build an additional airflow method so my tower doesn't overheat as friends have said it might see picture attached.

If you plan to use the PC Compartment for a PC Tower, I would also suggest cutting a larger hole in the cardboard backing they send to ensure better airflow see video link as well since I've heard there can be heat dissipation issues. Other than that, I've gotten some good compliments on it already from friends. Would probably get the matching hutch down the road if they still sell this model.
