The foreign exchange specialist has issued a statement saying it will no longer be accepting further applications for the OzForex Travel Card and will be contacting current customers via email about their options for having their balances moved from the card. The OzForex Travel Card, which was issued by Macquarie Bank Limited originally came to the travel money market in and soon became known for having the best exchange rates out of any prepaid card in the Australian market, allowing users to load up to nine currencies.

OzForex says it will be reviewing alternative ways to deliver a prepaid travel card down the track. While OzForex will no longer be providing prepaid travel cards to Aussie globetrotters, there are still plenty of other competitive travel money deals to be found.
