The Barclays Private Banking team offers bespoke banking and investment solutions to high net worth clients. Our Private Bankers act as trusted advisors to their clients, offering them solutions, products and services that are tailored to their needs.

People who join this team will typically go into either a Private Banker or Private Banking Executive role. Here you will develop relationships with a range of clients, ensuring they receive the highest levels of service, acting as a key contact for all their banking and credit advice, and providing them with financial solutions that are innovative and world-class.

To succeed, you need experience not just of building a client base but also of managing ongoing client relationships, including handling the sophisticated needs of individuals and families. With broad experience of the financial services industry and detailed regulatory knowledge, you will be able to offer your clients fluent and expert advice on a wide range of market issues and opportunities.

This is a key supporting role, which involves helping Private Bankers to provide clients with the exceptional service they have come to expect.

Responsibilities include acting as the main point of contact for clients and handling day-to-day administration across a range of products and services. Another important part of the job is to help Private Bankers stay organised, whether that means briefing them in advance of a client meeting or researching a prospect.

Our Executives tend to be people with previous experience in a non-regulatory role. This should have given you sound knowledge of banking and operational procedures, along with regulatory awareness and an understanding of security requirements.
